Genuine Dorset sea glass carefully hand wrapped in copper wire and finished with red glass beads.
I collected this sea glass while beachcombing at Lyme Regis, UK, before wrapping it with antique-coloured copper wire.
The seaglass piece itself is an amber brown and has been tumbled by the sea just enough to remove any sharp edges, but still retains enough shine to catch the light. It has a raised pattern of ridges which makes this little pendant quite tactile!
As well as recent flotsam, the cliffs and landslides at Lyme Regis contain deposits from between the 19th century and the 1970s, which erode down onto the beach. This means that these fragments could be anywhere from a few months to several hundred years old!
